Sunglasses

It doesn't matter whether you are in a scorching desert or a iced over tundra, sunglasses are a must have all year round! But this season try to be creative. Frames come in all shapes, colors, and designs so try to step away from the norm. I know sometimes it can be difficult to find frames to fit your face perfectly, but good news, I found a website that you can custom design and fit sunglasses( or even regular glasses).

Designing your own eyewear on this website is easy. You just upload a picture of yourself and select frames. I took a few screenshots of my design :)

The website is http://www.designyourowneyewear.com/ don't be like me and spend hours designing different glasses just for fun hahaha.

Whether it's chunky, silk, square, long, frilly, or knitted scarves make the greatest accessory during the fall/winter months. It is one item of clothing you really cant go wrong with!

Tying scarves really depend on your own personal style, but for cute tricks to tricky silk scarves click here. This winter try chunkier scarves. They will keep you toasty while look completely chic.

Happy Thanksgiving

I probably wont be able to post a lot this week due to the holiday. Since we moved back to the states, my mom likes to throw huge Thanksgiving day parties, so we have plenty of friends, family, and food. ;)

Obrigada Brasil!

Lips

I've never been a lipstick person, until recently. I experiment a lot, since none of my friends wear it either. So far, I have fallen in love with Covergirl's Outlast Lipstain and Chanel Rouge.

The lipstain is about $10 and Chanel's Coco Rouge is $30

Another lipstick I have tried and absolutely loved is MAC. They have literally all shades (not that I would use them all). But hey! be creative ;)

Sara Carbonero Eyes

People always compliment my make-up, but all of the credit should go to make-up tutorials posted on Youtube. I've been thinking about posting my own, but until then here is a Sara Carbonero inspired make-up tutorial that I found EXTREMELY helpful. I've used these same techniques using all different colors :) Enjoy ladies.

Royal Engagement

Prince William proposed to his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, with the same ring his father gave Princess Diana for their engagement 30 years ago.

Below are pictures of Princess Di wearing the gorgeous 18-carat saphire encircled with diamonds.

This ring is so breath-taking replicas made in it's honor can be bought in jewelry stores all over the world, most commonly known as the "Princess Diana ring". You can even buy sets including earrings, a pendant, and of course the ring.

S by Shakira

Who wouldn't want to smell like Shakira?

S has notes of jasmine, sandalwood, vanilla, amber, and resins. My new fave!

How to be comfortable and look cute

College finals, colder days, and flu season; this is the time of year I see my biggest pet peeve..sweatpants and/or pajama bottoms in public. I hate it! I understand there are just some days where you would prefer comfortability over style, but trust me there are ways to make "dressing down" cute.

#1 Sweatpants Instead of grabbing for the sweatpants (or rather rolling out of bed) try going for something more stylish, like leggings under a long sweater or dress. Jeggings, which are a hybrid of jeans and leggings, are also comfty to wear. And if you absolutely must wear sweatpants, please please please go for a pair of yoga pants instead. They are more fitting, and a little less trashy.

#2 Bulky hoodies or sweatshirts. If you are plus sized and you dislike the bulk try rolling the cuffs of your sleeves up to expose a few inches above your wrist. If you want to avoid bulk (which I advise) wear a light weight sweatshirt under a jacket.

#3 Accessories. It only takes 2 seconds to put a scarf on or earrings in. If you do anything, do this. The right accessories can take any outfit (yes, even dressed down ones) up a level.

#4 Hair and Make-up. Consider wearing your hair pulled up, with stray strands framing your face. It will fem up your lazy-day look. If you don't want to apply a full face of make-up run your base brush and blush brush quckly over your face without touching the makeup. You always have left over powder on your applicators, it will be just enough for a highlight.

#5 Chic Glasses. Skip over your contacts and wear glasses! You don't have to worry about eye make-up or tired bags under your eyes. If you don't have glasses buy non-perscription frames. You can get them at accessory stores or even art supply stores.

PS.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long :( I've been extremely busy with school. All of my classes has required a life or death project in the past week, but one of the projects has given me inspiration for a new post.

Here's a little sneak peak..

that's all i'm giving you. ;) for now

Emma Watson Premiere

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is one of the most anticipated movies of the year, but last week they should have re-named the event Hermione Granger and the Deathly Hallows London Premiere. That evening, all eyes were on 20 yr old Emma Watson, who showed off her new dramatic (and drop dead gorgeous) look!

Before I show you that! Let's take a quick look at the Hermione we all remember

And now for the beautiful and grown up Emma Watson

I can't just show you Emma without showing you the handsome and stylish leading men

In Rowling's books, brainy Hermione's most oft-described physical characteristic is her long, bushy hair. Emma, who cut her hair in August, calls her new-do "liberating" and signals the end of Harry Potter and the beginning of the next chapter in her life.

Floral Print for Flor

Dear Southern Hemisphere, Happy Spring! This post was requested from my friend, Flor, who lives in Argentina. Our winters are their summers, so she asked me to create a post including floral.

click foto for larger image
Floral print is slimming for everyone, but in the same respect doesn't flatter curves. Florals ALWAYS look good with brown accessories whether it be shoes, bangles, bags, anything. A little floral can go a very long way. If you want to make a wow statement in a subtle fashion try carrying a floral clutch, with a little black dress. Simple outfits are instantly made fun and flirty with this summery print. Just remember to have fun with it!

**Floral print during the fall? Sure! Just try to keep in mind that it is fall; keep your colors in mind. Try wearing leggings or long sleeves under a floral dress. Or try floral tights under a skirt with boots. As long as you accessorize appropriately and keep things subtle during colder months, floral can be a year round print.

Hope this helped :)
